Scientific Christian Mental Practice by Emma Curtis Hopkins – Submitted by Rev. Char Terranova

Emma Curtis Hopkins was an influential figure in the New Thought movement.  She was called “the teacher of teachers” as several of her students went on to create ministries such as Unity, Divine Science and Science of Mind to name a few.  Her aim in her classes and writings was always to help her students to penetrate through the veil of “things as they appear” to the heart of Reality.

Scientific Christian Mental Practice consists of 12 lessons, each building upon the other.  From “The Statement of Being,” “Denials of Science,” “Foundations of Faith” to “Rending the Veil” and “The Crown of Glory” you are on a journey of discovering Truth.

If you have never read works by Emma Curtis Hopkins this is a good book to start with.  Your life will change in so many ways. Submitted by Rev. Charlene Terranova.

The Pathway of Roses by Christian D. Larson – Submitted by Rev. Marjory Dawson

This is a book you can carry with you.  The title of the chapters will “call” you to read them wherever you might be on your spiritual journey.   The book begins, “To live always in the Secret Place of the Most High…this is the prayer without ceasing, the true worship of the soul.”  Christian Larson was a contemporary of Emma Curtis Hopkins.
